Our Story
My name is Naseeb Hassan and I’m the founder of Canberra Taxis & Maxis. I’ve been driving various types of public passenger transport in Canberra for the past 8 years and over this time, I’ve had the opportunity to speak with hundreds of locals and visitors.
I love talking to my passengers, it’s where I’ve learned the most about what people really want from a transport service and just as importantly, what’s not working in the current system. Again and again, I heard the same frustrations:
• Uncomfortable, run down vehicles. Many people told me about dirty, smelly cars that made them feel uneasy.
• Cold or unreliable service. Passengers often felt like they were being treated as just another fare not as people. Worse, some were even left stranded if the driver found a “better” fare on the way.
That’s when I decided something had to change. Canberra deserves a better, more honest transport option.
That’s why I started Canberra Taxis & Maxis a local, independent company focused on people, not just profits. Our goal is simple: To be the best Taxi Service in Canberra.
